Applicants

Dear Applicants,

Thank you for your interest in the Harvard Combined Dermatology Residency Program. We look forward to reviewing your application.

Again, this year, our interviews and recruitment session will be held virtually. We understand that virtual interviews may make it challenging to get a full sense of our program, so we encourage you to attend our upcoming Information Session and Resident Happy Hours. Details will be shared soon. In the meantime, we invite you to explore our website and Welcome Handbook to learn more about our program.

Our program, Harvard Medical School, and all of our affiliate hospitals are committed to fair selection processes. We do not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, age, religion, color, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, or veteran status. Every completed application is reviewed, and we do not exclude applicants based on type or location of medical school, USMLE scores, or research training. At this time, we only accept applicants who have completed previous residency training in internal medicine or pediatrics.

Selection Process & Committee Structure

Our Selection Committee consists of approximately 40 members, including faculty from all six affiliated hospitals and current residents. The committee represents a range of career stages, clinical and research expertise, and mentorship experience.

We utilize a holistic review process that takes into account all aspects of an applicant’s experiences and achievements, with special emphasis on clinical performance, leadership, and community service. Our goal is to evaluate each applicant’s unique background, training experiences, and contributions to the field of dermatology.

We will be accepting applications through ERAS and participating in the ERAS signaling program. We are committed to reviewing every application that receives a gold or silver signal this cycle.

We will comply with guidelines set forth by the Association of Professors of Dermatology Residency Program Directors Section and do not offer positions outside of the NRMP Match.
