Applicants
Dear Applicants,
Thank you for your interest in the Harvard Combined Dermatology Residency Program. We look forward to reading your application.
Again, this year, our interviews and recruitment session will be held virtually. We know that these constraints make it difficult for you to get to know our program. Information on our Information Session and Resident Happy Hours will be forthcoming. Please take some time to review our website and our Welcome Handbook to find out if our program is the right fit for you.
Our program, Harvard Medical School, and all of our affiliate hospitals do not discriminate with regard to sex, race, age, religion, color, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, or veteran status. Every completed application is reviewed; we do not exclude applicants based on type or location of medical school, USMLE scores, or research training. At present, we are not accepting applicants who have completed previous residency training beyond internship with the exception of internal medicine or pediatrics.
Our Selection Committee is composed of approximately 40 members, 15-20% of whom are current residents in the program. We have faculty committee members from all six affiliated hospitals. Our faculty members also range from recent graduates to senior teaching faculty. Approximately 20% of members identify as URiM and 50% identify as female.
We utilize a holistic review process that takes into account all aspects of the application, with a special emphasis on clinical performance, leadership, and community service. We recognize that applicants are offered varying degrees of opportunity based on their educational and personal circumstances, and embrace the diversity that brings to our applicant pool and our residents.
We will be accepting applications through ERAS and participating in the ERAS signaling program. We are committed to reviewing every application with gold or silver signals this cycle.
We will comply with guidelines set forth by the Association of Professors of Dermatology Residency Program Directors Section.
We do not offer positions outside of the NRMP Match.
